Part 2 of a playthrough of Sin and Punishment for the N64. Game completed on Normal with no continues on official hardware. Although it features english voice acting (with Japanese subtitles, which I turned off for this video), it was never brought to other territories and thus remained relatively unknown until Nintendo released it on the Virtual Console a few years ago. Also, a sequel was released for Wii just recently. This game is sometimes called a rail shooter, but I don't feel that's particularly accurate, as the positioning of your character is extremely vital at all times, not just how you aim. Sin and Punishment gives you multiple methods for attacking and defending, you can switch between a lock-on and a free aiming mode (lock-on does less damage), and you can also reflect enemy projectiles and hit close-range targets with your sword. On defense, you have the ever important dodge and jump moves. And everything you can do will be taxed to the limit in this game. Treasure is well known for creating intense games with non-stop action, and that is completely evident here. I opted not to play this on the Hard difficulty because I knew I'd have to use at least a half-dozen continues, but even on Normal you can see just how much stuff they throw at you.
